This is an item in a list of terms and definitions at the top of a standard operating procedure for controlling access to various parts of a microbiological facility. It is one of the parts of the "laboratorio microbiologico", along with the "laboratorio non sterili", "locale classe D", "laboratorio sterili" and "laboratorio BL2".
...
The definition provided is: "area in cui vengono effettuati prove e controlli di antibiotici e vitamini".
...
There are very few Ghits for the term, hopefully someone can enlighten me before I opt for a descriptive fudge. TIA :).

CL 3 because I'm not sure what the best term for this in English would be - perhaps "quantification lab" would be better. Anyway, the meaning must be this: it's where they test the titres of their antibiotics and vitamins. The description makes it sound as if they also carry out other tests in this lab, but this certainly wouldn't be clear from the name.

If you want a generic translation, you could go for test laboratory or analytical laboratory, but the Italian name is much more specific than that.
