Italian term

cultura del fare

Italian to English Other Cooking / Culinary tourist guide
A text on the gastronomy of the region Emilia Romagna; this paragraph regards the teaching farms in the area.

"E' riscoprire la stagionalità con i suoi frutti, il senso dell'attesa attiva e vigile, della ***cultura del fare***, del rito."

Could it be something like "work ethic"?
Thanks :-)

art of making

Hi Fiona, I'd rather think it's something more related with the art and tradition of "making". (Like preparing food from scratch etc.).
I hope the concept is clear, then you'll possibly find a better way to express it in English
:-))
