Italian term

sale con inclusioni materiche

Italian to English Art/Literary General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters Review on plastic arts artist

Discussion

Lisa Jane Oct 20, 2022:
pictures? it depends what artist are we talking about and what works are being referred to.
Emmanuella Oct 20, 2022:
D'accordo con FPC.
FPC Oct 20, 2022:
Lara it makes me think it's talking about walls ("superfici di sale") with a textured finish or at least some textured element embedded in the wall as if the space itself was the work of art. Have you got any pictures?
Lara Barnett (asker) Oct 20, 2022:
@ FPC Yes, but actually the main issue for me is "sale con inclusioni", and how this fits in. I didn't know what it refers to.
FPC Oct 19, 2022:
Yes Emmanuella's references are relevant. For "materico" I'd say also something along the lines of "(heavily) textured", maybe?

halls with material inclusions

It is white that predominates, pure and free as in the large monochrome canvases or declined in an elegant palette of tonal variations, as in the halls with material inclusions of strong expressive and symbolic value.
Note from asker:
This is a literal translation and makes no sense to me. What does "Inclusions" refer to?
