Comment: "Absolutely spot on!!!
Someone had already translated "interposto" as "original employer" but I didn't like it and the dispute hinges around the legality (as Jacek suggests) of this type of situation and who the real employer is at the end of the day!

Pare che "interposto" fosse il primo datore di lavoro - un'azienda USA - e "interponente" la malcapitata consociata europea che ha ufficiosamente ereditato la lavoratrice, successivamente diventata patata bollente
