W każdym rodzaju zdjęć pacjent coś "zagryza": albo film (skrzydełka), albo pozycjoner. http://stomatologianews.pl/wskazania-techniki-wykonywania-zd... i http://stomatologianews.pl/zdjecia-skrzydlowo-zgryzowe/
Marcin Pustkowski Jun 10, 2018:

The most common type of x-ray is a bitewing x-ray. The bitewing x-ray shows how the posteriorXray-blog7 teeth occlude. In a bitewing x-ray only the crown part of the tooth will show.In this type of x-ray the dentist can check for decay in between the teeth.Decay in between the teeth is very difficult to diagnose without and x-ray. This type of x-ray can show if there is severe bone loss, or how the upper and lower teeth line up. 4 bitewing x-rays are taken in an initial full dental exam.

The Bitewing
radiograph show the crowns and interproximal conditions area of teeth and the areas of bone on film.
-radiographs are use used to detect interproxmial cares (tooth decay) and are particularly useful in detecting early carious lesions that are not clinically evident.
radiographs are also useful in examining the bone levels between the teeth.
-radiographs shows the upper and lower teeth in occlusion.
-only the crowns and small portion of the root of the teeth are seen.
-it is used for detecting interproximal decay, periodontal disease, recurrent decay under restorations, and the fit of metallic fillings or crowns.
-Can be take for: FMX, single BMX, once a year at recall (prophy) visits

Root canal treatment depends to a very large extent on radiological examination. Radiographs play an important role at every stage of endodontic treatment: diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. In endodontics, intra- and extraoral X-rays are used. Intraoral images include: dental radiographs, bitewings and occlusal radiographs, while extraoral radiographs are: panoramic views and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). Dental radiographs are the most useful in intraoral radiographs. There are two main techniques for taking dental radiographs: paralleling technique and bisecting angle technique. Both conventional and digital radiography can be used. Crucial benefits of digital images include high quality of imaging, possibility of obtaining results very quickly, possibility of image transformations, reduction of radiation dose. The above-mentioned techniques provide two-dimensional images of three-dimensional structures of patient’s facial part of the scull. The cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a three-dimensional imaging technique, which has gained the popularity in recent years. The most important radiological aspects of endodontic treatment are presented, based on review of Polish and foreign literature. Quality criteria of radiographs, according to the European Commission in 2004 are presented. Advantages and disadvantages of particular techniques of taking radiographs are shown. Problems related to the cooperation with the patient, which may affect the course of endodontic treatment was also highlighted.
