It's a very subtle nuance, but I prefer "realization" because there's less emphasis on the actor. The emphasis is on the act taking place, not how quickly the actor can perform it. Very subtle, I admit.
I think the only reason she didn't use "realização" twice was because of the Portuguese taboo against repeating a word, which we don't have in English, especially in technical texts.
