Comment: "no, I will use half Smartrans and half this person: leave in general and contracting or re-contracting Thanks very much"
1 hr
start a job, join a company, return to work) / leave, terminate services, quit
same line followed by other colleagues; there are multiple options
8 hrs
hiring/separation
Aunque la pregunta ya se cerró quise dar la respuesta para futuras consultas, ya que "resignations" se refiere a renuncias y no a todo tipo de bajas.

Note from asker:
yes I feel that "leave" is good for baja as it covers all types not so clear about "alta" but maybe "joining or re-joining |

Discussion
(this was my idea of getting round not knowing the correct translation!) as "alta" can be when you start a job OR go back to it!
and "baja" as the opposite, which I have found as being simply"absence" or it could be "signing off" I suppose, but there are two questions "baja" when you are sick (could be "leave"?) and also when you simply leave the job of your own accord
