: Ref is wrong. Pointless saying a window is "bordvart". They probably mean "lovart"(from the context), which btw is the opposite of lee.

: Windward=Lovart: "direction or side from which wind blows; side exposed to the wind ". You mixed up "lovart"(opposite of lee) and "bordvart".

Thank you Mårten. Gullberg does actually give 'wingward' not 'windward'. However, I'm out of my depth here although I do live in a naval town.
