I am a
writer, a translator and a teacher with more than fifteen years of experience.

I have
been writing articles and poems for leading publications, and translating books
and documents. The 12-year course I pursued in a residential institution from
the age of ten enriched me with fabulous experiences as we strived in the
fields of writing and literary pursuits in different languages.

I served
as the:

• Editor, Aftab, an Urdu manuscript
  monthly.

• Director, Malayalikkoottam, the
  Malayalam literary wing (edited a weekly newsletter).

• Director, Shuba-e Urdu, the Urdu
  literary wing (edited its literary weekly, Taaleem).

• Writing articles and poems in the
  English monthly, The Dawn, and the Arabic monthly, Al-Huda.

• Worked at the leading Malayalam
  monthly, Thelicham, published by Darul Huda Islamic University.

• Writing articles in leading
  Malayalam magazines like Madhyamam weekly, Madhyamam Weekend, Chandrika
  Weekly, Chandrika Weekend, Patayali Samayam, Thalsamayamonline, and
  Thalsamayam Weekly.

The
rich experience I gained from my literary pursuits helped me in achieving my
professional goals while working as a Content Writer and Translator and later
as a full-time freelancer.

I
studied Sociology (with a focus on Sociology of Medicine, Toxic Imperialism and Developmental Sociology) at the Master's level and worked in various colleges as
faculty of Sociology, English and Arabic. I was a faculty member of English at
Kerala Minority Development Institute as well.
