Nov 8, 2023 (posted via ProZ.com):  Just finished a hybrid job: FRE>ENG translation of a 60k script while inserting the portions already translated by the client in a separate document. Particular issue not foreseen: the French text, which had gone to print, differed widely from the original version the client's English translation had been based on. Ich bin Übersetzer seit 1985, Lektor
seit 2001 und Ausbilder/Mentor von Lektoren seit 2014. Seit Übergabe der Leitung von Larrass
Translations Inc. lektoriere ich Übersetzungen und suche Unterstützung
durch erfahrene Lektoren, vor allem in
den Bereichen Technologie und Patente (DEU>ENG/FRA; ENG>FRA).

 

I have been a translator since 1985, a reviser/editor since 2001, and a
trainer of revisers/editors since 2014. Since
stepping down as CEO, I have edited MT for complex 200k+ high-profile reports
(ENG>FRE) and also a 60k autobiography (ENG>FRE). I am looking for
seasoned revisers with solid knowledge in law, policy and politics
(ENG>FRE), patents and technology in general (GER>FRE/ENG; ENG>FRE).

 

Je suis
traducteur depuis 1985, réviseur depuis 2001 et formateur de réviseurs depuis
2014. Depuis que j'ai quitté mon poste de PDG, j'ai fait la postédition de
rapports complexes de plus de 200 000 mots. Je cherche des réviseurs chevronnés
aux connaissances solides en droit, en politiques publiques et en sciences
politiques (ANG>FRA) ainsi qu’en brevets et en technologies (ALL>FRA/ANG;
ANG>FRA).
