Translation - English Between the mountains and summits that reach over one thousand metres into the sky, through which the Magdalena River runs, lie the pastures that have fed the livestock of many generations. The mark of the Pas region’s people can be seen in the original, asymmetrical network of typical stone and slab cabins that are scattered throughout the municipality, giving it a unique air. It is embellished by the ravines carved out of the landscape by the Magdalena River as it runs to join the Pas, then flowing together into the Toranzo Valley.

Translation - English Doubtless one of the greatest challenges will be to reestablish the rights of those dispossessed of their land, most of whom are indigenous peoples, Afro-Colombians and small farmers. It is estimated that in the course of the conflict eight to ten million hectares of land were abandoned and expropriated , an area comparable to that currently dedicated to agriculture in the whole country. The main instrument for returning these lands to their legitimate owners is the Victims and Land Restitution Act (Law 1448 of 2011) but it is advancing too slowly: since it was enacted the rulings to date cover cases involving barely 213,076 hectares.

Experience
Years of experience: 18. Registered at ProZ.com: May 2008.
I have been earning my living as a professional translator since January, 2008, after having worked in several different fields, including over 15 years in the travel industry. My clients include translation agencies, NGOs and some private companies. While I have translated a wide range of documents, most of my work is marketing or coaching presentations, reports for NGOs (the effect of climate change on crops in Northern Honduras, for example, or assessments of fieldwork) or other technical documents (descriptions of public works, report on efficiency in a glass-recycling plant, etc.) Past experience also includes 4 years of professional proofreading, largely for advertising agencies or print shops in New York. My varied work experience has taught me many things aside from giving me a wide-ranging vocabulary: I know how to value my clients and I know the importance of a deadline!
Since 2018 I have also been doing voice work, in English. Voiceover clients include a few studios in Madrid, Spain, as well as the Ministry of Education, and most of my experience is centered on e-learning of different kinds and in-house corporate videos.
