"I want to thank everyone who participated in the employee survey," Williams said. "It's helpful to collect all the input we can. Also, I want you to know that I read the write-in comments and learn a lot about what's going on in the organization from the notes you are kind enough to share."
He explained how the employee survey provides ITNA's business leaders with a deeper understanding of the issues. Referencing the survey findings, Williams commented on the gap that persists between managers' and individual contributors' views of the organization. He also recapped the three company priorities for action:
-- Make it easier for employees to do their jobs and better serve our customers;
-- Help employees gain a greater sense of accomplishments from their work; and,
-- Strengthen survey-related action planning and implementation.
Building a high-performance company requires us to provide and communicate promotions and invest in training. We also need to ensure employees have the right tools, Williams said. "In the first quarter of 2005, we will begin the roll-out of the ITNA Strategic Desktop, which is designed to create a single desktop application for ITNA's customer service and patient management representatives," Williams announced.
Transitioning to the 2005 benefit changes, Williams explained how the company's move to a consumer-directed benefits design last year helped control the rate of rising medical costs and also strengthened ITNA's leadership position in the marketplace. He encouraged employees to read an overview of the benefits changes on the 2005 Open Enrollment site on e.Service and reminded everyone the deadline to enroll is Nov. 17.
As China’s economy transforms from agricultural economy into industrial economy, the global economy has already changed from agricultural economy and industrial economy into the era of knowledge-based economy. The Manifesto of Global Economy pointed out “education is the everlasting theme of survival and development in this knowledge and information world”. Particularly, the development of higher education is vitally interrelated with the prosperous future of our country. The objective of this proposal is to propose the plan to establish a university of the deaf in the city of X. I earnestly request the X City Government, the Department of Education and the Disabled Person’s Federation to support and encourage this effort.
