Hello. In the past two years I have had almost no work as a translator. Is this trend similar for your native languages or is it so bad only for my native language, Russian? Given Putin's politics and the consequences for the Russian economy, I am not surprised, but I need to have some income... Nowadays, clients want translations to be done by native speakers. So even though I am polyglot and I do not live in Russia, I am stuck with my mother tongue...

Hello everybody! Besides the topic of CAT tools, I am more interested in the voiceover field. I have dubbed some marketing videos and been wondering about intellectual property. Do voiceover talents have the right to ask for a sample of their enregistered work. If yes, from whom they should seek the file; the client agency, the studio owner where the work was done, or the company that sought the service in the first place. Please, can anyone clarify the point for me.

Happy to join this group. I've been using SDL Trados with some issues.. Now I bought Wordfast Pro 4 and hope it will be a better option. I am also interested in voice over/dubbing and would like to know more about this field.

Hi everybody! Happy translation day! Don't buy CAT tools, use the best of them (and by the way the free one) - MateCAT. It is the best option to start with computer aided translation and the best experience for Mac users (don't tell me about CafeTran or OmegaT, they're disgusting).
