: Sí, mejor lo dejamos porque lo que se celebra es, precisamente, lo que hizo que todos los demás tuviesen necesidad de un día de la independencia... ;-)

Panama has a particular situation
Panama: March 11th is nowhere near the truth. This date has no significance in that country.
Panama became independent from Spain on November 28th, 1821 and shortly thereafter joined "La Gran Colombia". Years later, November 3rd, 1903 (with considerable gunboat diplomacy from the US) this country seceded form that oraganisation.

Colombia: July 20th
On July 20th, 1819, the independence of Colombia was sealed in the "Boyaca battle", where Simon Bolivar defeated Spaniard General Barreiros.

: Colombia's original independence day was July 20th, 1810. It was then re-taken over by the spaniards and got independence on August 7th 1819 in the Boyaca Battle
