an equivalent perhaps for an English speaker such as myself who wouldn't have a clue who or what a "Migou" is. Depends of course on whether there is enough surrounding context or not.
"fairy" might also be possible though it has connotations these days or "elf" but not "leprechaun" as they are not such nice characters as this "migou" seems to be.
