I know the dictionary suggests brown, but the Russian word really refers to a reddish-brown color, so maybe red or reddish-brown might fit.

How about "pewter"? I've seen cars described as being pewter-colored but am unsure about what exact shade that is.

: I Love(d) Ludmilla C., but she had many errors as does Multitran - everyone copies from everyone - a perpetuation of errors. Pewter is a grayish blue.
