Has anyone managed to make term recognition work with Studio yet? 投稿者: Astrid Elke Witte

Just curious, because I have tried absolutely everything, and still it will not work. The terms in the termbase have a red bracket over the top of them on the source document side of the screen, however these terms do not show in the box at the top on the right-hand side. Instead, it says there, "No results available". SDL Support appears not to have any suggestions regarding how to make term recognition work. no problem with term recognition in studio 2009! | | | Works fine for me | Jun 22, 2009 |
Hi Astrid, Term recognition works fine for me. Sorry, if this is a stupid question, but are you sure that you are looking at the correct box? In my setup, there are two tabs, Term Recognition and Termbase Search and, obviously, the terms only get displayed on the Term Recognition tab. - I have been looking at the wrong more than once wondering why no terms showed up. Kind regards, Claudia | | | You have just solved the last part of the problem, Claudia | Jun 22, 2009 |
I did indeed have no term recognition last week, but today - after the computer had been fully optimised over the past few days - I got the red brackets over the words, however nothing in the box at the top. Now you mention it, the box at the top was in fact labelled "Termbase search", instead of "Term recognition" (although I clearly remember seeing it say "Term recognition" last week). After checking the "Help" instructions about the boxes, I have gone to the "View" menu and clicked "Term recognition", and the "Termbase search" box has suddenly turned into a "Term recognition" box. Now there are two tabs underneath the box itself, saying "Termbase search" and "Term recognition", and it is possible to click between them. However, there were not two tabs previously, but only the one, labelled "Termbase search" at the top. Thank you. You have just solved the last part of the problem, after a weekend's plus a Monday morning's computer optimisation work, and term recognition is actually working now. Once I got the "term recognition" tab, the terms highlighted in the text appeared in the box. Best regards, Astrid ▲ Collapse | |

That should help. Anyway, after playing a little with Java, term recognition is working nicely. And so is AutoSuggest: performing surprisingly well. | | | I highlighted complaining I've got you just handed you via the USB drive | Jun 27, 2009 |

Could you provide more information on exactly what versions of Java you have installed, and what additional settings you have made? Are you able to edit the term base from within the Studio 2009 program? | | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Has anyone managed to make term recognition work with Studio yet?
