Problems updating from Trados 5.5 Freelance to 6.5

I have followed the instructions supplied by Trados, but when I open Workbench eveything is 'blank' and the Trados buttons are missing.

Can somebody tell me exactly what I should be doing?

Dear quincey,

I guess the problem is, you did not uninstall previous version. Firstly you have to do uninstallation and then install new version. If you process the installation in the way I described, please write what were your steps...
