TFL 6.5.5.441

Hi,

I have downloaded and properly installed the latest build 441. Until then, I have only used TWB with Word and had no problem.

Today, when I try to open TagEditor or WinAlign, I get the error message "TradosFilterFrameworkJavaApi.dll not found". I performed a search on my HDD and found this very dll in the TT folder of Trados program files.

I thought it might be related to the fact that I forgot to register, so I tried to register but got the same error message after a while (actually after the message "Registering the Filter Framework...").

The Trados KB shows no relevant match for this particular dll.

Any hint ?

Many thanks in advance!

Sylvain

Pragmatic approach Apr 8, 2005

My suggestion is you bomb the whole Trados package from your HDD entirely (uninstall, in more civilian terms ) and then re-install from scratch.

Aactually fixing the individual DLL problems is often more tedious and time-consuming than just starting over with the installation.

Did you install Microsoft.net Framework too? Apr 8, 2005

Maybe this issue is connected with this.
When installing the latest Trados I was akesd to install MS Framework too, what I actually did.

If you didn´t I would try to reinstall Trados without deinstalling it first.
Should that not help, simply follow Benjamins advice - this should then help.

Regards
Jerzy
