Have to say I've been expecting for something like this to be announced for a while now.

Sure it will be quite basic to begin with but not good new really!

As I answered in another question, not too much to get worried about.
Just look at the translator, anything that is accurate is the fault of live translators submitting their work!

I am sure that it might be ok for some friendly chit chat but hardly capable of handling a business meeting or a NATO conference!

"We had just purchased translation software and decided to test it with a memo I had recently written on a personnel issue. In the memo I referred to its subject as "a young man whom I cannot help liking." After that had been translated into Spanish and back into English, it was rendered "a youth with whom I cannot restrain myself from taking pleasure." Clearly, the passage had gained something in translation."
