Hello all,

Can you ladies and gentlemen help me know the rates for translation, proofreading, and subtitling in the UK (the client asked to specifically go by the rates for 1000 words).

Just take your normal per word rate and multiply it by 1.000. Proofreading should be charged by the hour, again your normal hourly rate.

Rates for subtitle translations vary greatly. Some offer USD 2.00, other between 7.00 and 8.00 USD per audio minute.

Only you know how much you have to earn to pay all your bills and lead a decent life.

I may be wrong, but you have asked a similar question very recently and regarding another country (Egyptian market).
Rates do not depend on the countries where translation agencies or clients are based.
You set your own rates based on your working language pairs, and they apply to any country.
There is no rate per country.
